Walmart Weight Management Care review
Virtual care from Curai Health at $29/month with brand-name Zepbound listed as low as $299 for 28 days — no membership required, which separates it from Costco and Sam’s Club.
Overview
Walmart expanded into weight management in April 2026, pairing its pharmacy with Curai Health for the clinical side. Its newsroom stated that “From April 15 through July 31, Walmart customers. Curai Health’s virtual care and weight loss programs will each be available for $29 per month.” The Weight Management Care page carries the same $29 alongside two other figures — “Starting at $49” and “Check-ins at $35” — without making clear on the page which applies to whom.
The medication sits separately at pharmacy prices. Barron’s reported that Walmart’s GLP-1 support page lists a 28-day supply of Zepbound “as low as $299”, which is competitive with the manufacturer-direct routes and with Costco’s $349 for semaglutide.
The structural advantage over the other two warehouse routes on this site is that there is no membership gate. Costco and Sam’s Club both require a paid membership before you reach their pricing; Walmart does not. Against that, the $29 was announced with an end date of 31 July, and we could not verify what replaced it.

Pros
- No membership required, which is the clearest advantage over the Costco and Sam’s Club routes.
- Brand-name Zepbound listed from $299 for 28 days, competitive with manufacturer-direct pricing.
- The clinical programme is cheap at $29 a month and priced transparently against the medication.
- No exposure to the compounding litigation or the 503B bulks-list proposal.
Cons
- The $29 was announced with an end date of 31 July 2026 and we could not verify what it became.
- Three prices — $29, $49 and $35 — appear on the product page without the page explaining which applies when.
- No eligibility criteria, cancellation or refund terms published.
- We could not retrieve Walmart’s own pages directly; the figures here come from its newsroom and from trade reporting of them.
Who it may suit
Someone who wants brand-name medication at retail without joining a warehouse club. At $299 for Zepbound plus a cheap virtual-care fee, this is among the more sensible brand-name routes here — provided you confirm the current programme price, because the one we verified had an expiry date on it.
Limitations
- walmart.com and corporate.walmart.com both refused automated retrieval. Every figure here comes from Walmart’s own newsroom text or from trade reporting quoting Walmart’s pages, not from the pages themselves.
- The relationship between the $29, $49 and $35 figures is not explained on the material we could reach.
- The $29 promotional window closed on 31 July 2026 and we could not verify current pricing.
- No eligibility, cancellation or refund detail is published.
Questions
Do I need a Walmart membership?
No. That is the main structural difference from Costco and Sam’s Club, both of which put their GLP-1 pricing behind a paid membership. Walmart’s is open to any customer.
How much is Zepbound at Walmart?
Barron’s reported Walmart’s GLP-1 support page listing a 28-day supply of Zepbound as low as $299. The medication is charged separately from the Curai Health programme fee.
What does the $29 cover?
Curai Health’s virtual care and weight loss programme — the clinical side, not the drug. Walmart announced it for 15 April to 31 July 2026, and we could not verify what the price became after that. Confirm it before planning around it.
Is this compounded?
No. This is brand-name medication through Walmart Pharmacy, so none of the compounding caveats on this site apply, and neither does the manufacturer litigation or the 503B proposal.
